Medical Assistants are a unique part of the health care system.  The day to day tasks of these assistants can differ. Training programs for PCT can vary based on state and the type of school. For example, to perform a draw blood in California you must have a license. However, in most states, a license is not required to draw blood. Training programs in most states can last 3-4 months for PCT.
