Veterinary Assistant  Program

WELCOME TO THE PROGRAM PAGE OFFERED BY THE
AMERICATION CAREER AND TRAINING SCHOOL.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Veterinary practice involves various key aspects, all crucial for delivering quality care to pets and excellent service to clients. Medical records are fundamental, containing detailed patient information. It’s important to ensure proper documentation, avoid errors, and comply with legal standards to maintain the integrity of these records.

Scheduling and organizing appointments efficiently helps balance routine check-ups, surgeries, and emergency visits. Different types of veterinary schedules, such as urgent care or specialty appointments, require careful coordination to optimize the clinic's workflow.

In the modern veterinary office, computer and keyboarding skills are essential. Veterinary staff must be comfortable with specialized software and equipment used for keeping medical records, tracking inventory, and managing finances. Having these technical skills ensures accurate and efficient record-keeping.

The veterinary healthcare team consists of veterinarians, technicians, and administrative staff. Each member plays an important role, and understanding their responsibilities is critical to the smooth operation of the clinic. This also includes tasks like managing payroll, invoices, and inventory.

Communication and client relations are central to building trust with pet owners. Effective speaking, listening, and telephone skills are necessary to handle client inquiries and provide updates on pets. Furthermore, providing support during times of grief, such as after the loss of a pet, is an essential aspect of compassionate care.

Finally, veterinary ethics and legal issues guide the practice, ensuring that care is both effective and compliant with laws like the Veterinary Practice Act. Learning through case studies allows veterinary professionals to apply ethical principles and practical knowledge in real-world situations.

  • Phlebotomy Program
Great, so let me explain you about our phlebotomy program. We offer two types of phlebotomy programs: the Online Hybrid that's Self-Paced and the Online Program with an Instructor. For the Online Hybrid Self-Paced program, you can attend classes at your convenience, anytime of the day. This option is perfect if you have a busy schedule and need flexibility. Many of our students prefer the Online Self-Paced Phlebotomy Program because it allows them to work at their own pace without worrying about set class times. This option includes audio lectures and multiple quizzes to help you understand the material thoroughly. On the other hand, our Online Program with an Instructor lets you attend classes on Zoom with a live instructor at a set time. You can choose from morning, or evening schedules based on what fits you best. For the morning schedule, the classes are Monday to Wednesday, from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM. For Evening schedule, the classes are Monday to Wednesday from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Regardless of weather you choose online self pace or online with instructor, both options have a duration of around 4 to 6 weeks. However, in the online self pace, you can complete the theory section earlier and start attending your clinicals sooner. Let's talk about payment options. For the Online Hybrid Self-Paced program, you can pay biweekly with $250 down and 3 payments of $215 each, or monthly with $275 down and 2 payments of $360, or you can pay $795 in full. For the Online Program with an Instructor, you can pay biweekly with $250 down and 4 payments of $200 each, or monthly with $300 down and 2 payments of $425, or you can pay $950 in full. How do you attend classes? For the Online Self-Paced program, you'll get a login to access your course content and start whenever you're ready. After you complete the course, you can schedule your clinicals on campus with a live instructor to practice hands-on skills. If you choose the Online Program with an Instructor, you'll attend classes based on the set schedule, and similarly, you can schedule your clinicals on campus once you've completed the online portion. Upon completion, you'll receive a digital certificate from NEW Career & Training School. This includes a cover page, the certificate itself, and a digital badge, all at no additional cost. Regarding national certification, after completing both the theory and clinical portions, you can take the Certified Phlebotomy Technician Certification Exam right on our campus, since we are an approved testing site. This course prepares you thoroughly for the certification exam, and if you don't pass it the certification exam on the first try, you can retake it up to 3 or 4 times in a calendar year. Our campus is located at 24 Commerce St, Suite 401, Newark NJ 07102. We are located on the 4th floor ! We’ve been offering the phlebotomy program since 2012, making it one of the first healthcare programs we introduced. For more information on the phlebotomy program: Text Us: 973-642-4160 (Our Friendly Advisors will be Happy to Assist you) Or To visit the campus & speak to an advisor in person Book an Appointment: https://www.americation.org/book If you have any more questions or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.
